  Granvil 's early influences were Eric Clapton and SRV , who led him to originals like Muddy Waters, Albert King, and John Lee Hooker, their sound helped him  to develop his own style.  He started playing guitar at sixteen and loves all kinds of music, but it is the American tradition of Blues that resonates  most deeply. In  2010 Granvil and the Band placed # 56 in Eric Clapton’s worldwide Ernie Ball playcrossroads contest, exposing the band to new audiences. Appearances  at Texas Folklife and Fiesta Blues in San Antonio won over more fans.  Recording is going on now for a CD with original and choice covers slated for release this winter. Currently, Granvil has a three piece band and plays venues in San Antonio, Austin and across the United States.
